V & J Woodcraft Fine hand-crafted Oak Furniture

Vince Weber works with wood, and he's the old-fashioned kind of craftsman you don't often find around any more. He's been making these wooden pieces in his South Dakota Prairie workshop and selling them at craft fairs in the six state area for over a dozen years. Vince is so sure of his craftsmanship that he stamps and individually numbers each piece.

Each is made of hand-smoothed and varnished hardwood golden oak or pine -- allowing the rich wood grain to show through. All the screw holes are countersunk, so there are no sharp places for little fingers to be injured or socks to be snagged. The craftsmanship is superb.

What an elegant way to show off your family heirloom quilts or hand-knit afghans. This rack will hold 3 (or more) quilts and features a pillow holder on the bottom level.

A full 33" wide x 32" high x 17" deep and weighs 16 pounds. This is the only unit that will be shipped un-assembled. You will need to screw 12 screws into Vince's pre-drilled holes and then glue the little oak plugs over them to cover the screw heads. The only tools you'll need will be a regular flat-head screwdriver, and a small bottle of glue.

Note how Vince takes the time and care required to fully finish this piece. These screw holes are fully countersunk and filled with real oak plugs so there's nowhere to snag your fine knit or quilted throws.

Just the place to show off your antique Roseville vase or candleholder. Handy drawer to stash those smaller items. Fits flat against the wall.

Weighs 18 pounds. 32" wide x 30 high by 10.5" deep. Drawer 14" wide x 2.5" deep. Bottom shelf 6" off floor.

This is what I need beside my den chair... the top shelf for my coffee mug and the book I'm currently reading. My TV and VCR Remote Controls on the small shelf underneath (At last, a place *just* for them) And the TV schedule and the latest unread magazines tucked securely into the bottom basket.

This is a doll cradle that rocks freely in its stand, or may be removed and placed securely on the floor, when it's time to put dolly to sleep at night. It's made of hand smoothed and varnished pine - allowing the rich wood grain to show through. All the screw holes are countersunk, and the craftsmanship is superb. I took these pictures right in Vince's workshop where the lighting makes the pictures appear with a green cast, but the piece is truly a rich natural golden brown.

The cradle measures 24" long x 16" wide and stands 24" tall. It weighs 10 pounds.

11/09/2005 Hi: I want to order the table with four chairs instead of two. I already ordered the rocking chair for my grandson and it's wonderful.

Rick, The rocking chair arrived in fine shape today and we both love it. I'm sure our soon to be 1 year old grandson will love it too! Vince certainly knows how to pack his masterpiece. We are planning ahead and would like to order the child's table and two chairs for our grandson's second birthday. While we don't need it for a year we would happily receive them when it is convenient for Vince. We won't need to worry about the priority mail this time. Let me know about the availability.

The table measures 32" x 24" and is 20" high. The chair seats are 12" from the floor, , the seat measures 11" x 11" and it's 24" to the top of the chair back. The set weighs 27 pounds. This is a sturdy piece that your grandkids will proudly pass down to their grandkids. Additional chairs are $25 each.

06/29/05 Hi Rick, Got a phone call from our rural route mail lady this morning saying that she had this large box for us that wouldn't fit in her car. She said she'd deliver her mail and then go back pick up a post office truck and deliver our package. Came about 2:30 this afternoon. We are pleased!!! Let Vince know that he did another outstanding job! The hard part for us will be waiting until next June to give the table and chairs to our second grandson. Thanks much for your help
